Cold Mailman
Cold Mailman is a lo-fi-indie-pop-folk band, consisting of the main postman Ivar and his friends. Their new record is a small treasure of pop melodies and bedroom melancholy. A perfect cure for the shitty norwegian spring!
Inspired by classic acoustic acts such as Nick Drake and Joni Mitchell and not so classic acts Sonic Youth and Tool, Cold Mailman makes music that reaches from low-key folk to noise-oriented doom-folk. Great stuff? Yes. Great stuff.

My Little Pony
My Little Pony is a pretty new band on the friendly Oslo pop scene. With their blend of indiepop and country they have charmed their way into the hearts of at least one or two people. Their first EP, “Songs in A major”, was released in October 2007 and is available from a lot of record stores. The maxi-single “MacGyver Blues” has only been released as a CD-R, and in a limited edition. The band has gotten quite a bit of attention, winning the Norwegian “Ukas Urørt”-award, being released on a spanish indie pop compilation and experienced airtime on American college radio.

Senit
Senit is Norwegian garage, punk and rock´n´roll prancing down the trail where bands like Hives, Gluecifer, Hellacopters and Turbonegro earlier have made their way. Touring as much as possible with 2007 until now seeing both a Norwegian and a European tour, Senit keeps ever evolving their already explosive liveshows. Also, they just released their debut-EP “Welcome” on Norwegian indielabel Spoon Train Audio.
Designed to make the saddest emo smile, Senit is a positively supercharged Nordic kick in the nuts! Enjoy!

That Special Monkey Hug
So you like indie rock? With band members from Bogota, Oslo and Blackpool, TSMH is now located in Oslo, and is currently spreading their blend of art-rock, noise and straight forward pop music to the masses.
According to several concert promotors, That Special Monkey Hug is currently experiencing quite a wave of attention, being the buzz of the Norwegian underground and all.
In 2007, TSMH has taken their experimentality and indieness to the limit, playing gigs in an Austrian mountaintop yogacenter, in a tent in the center of Oslo (support: Brett Anderson!), in the back of a moving tram during the Öyafestival in Oslo and in a hotel lobby in a small, small town way out on the Norwegian west coast.
Be sure to catch That Special Monkey Hug when you have the chance, and obey the second bear.
